COMMENTS

Material removal continued throughout the month with the primary focus on Zone 1. The contractor hopes to excavate a ditch from Zone 1 to help dewater the building site in Zones 3, 4, and 5. There is an area of vegetation in Zone 2 that is currently unstable for equipment. The contractor is continuing to work to try to dewater that zone. Zone 11 is largely open to allow for the dewatering of Golden Pond in to permitted siltation structures. The dewatering area was lowered at the 5/29/19 inspection and the flow from the structure had increased. It appeared on the 5/29 inspection that the contractor had drained the structure to a point that no surface water was visible.

A meeting was held on site on 5/2/19 with DMME and OSM. Heather McDonald-Taylor, Lesa Baker and Clara Harris were present for DMME. Tonya Mullins, Debra Zirkle and Ronnie Vicars were present for OSM. The entire site was reviewed and a general discussion was held on payment for placement of the backfill material as part of the associated Project Reclaim. The company was to follow up with Clara Harris of DMME to determine how best to document the volume of material placed in order to ensure accurate payment.
